Jake's FIRST try at bringing TEAM GLUTEN-FREE to New Hampshire. Not bad for deciding 3 weeks ago. We missed you Max....next time! Many people came by the table to try Judi (nana's) Gluten Free Mini cupcakes and take one of Max's Eagle Scout Brochures home/work, etc... The local paper took a picture like this one, perhaps we'll make the front page? Much awareness was raised this morning. Folks who are already Gluten Free were SHOCKED to see us there! Others learned a lot!

We will be doing more...join us!

Max held his Eagle Scout Leadership Project. His project was a Community Education and Awareness Project about Celiac Disease. The Project consisted of a Live Presentation (powerpoint and video production). Each participant was given a brochure created by Max (and his team). A video of his presentation will be available on the Celiac Disease Foundations Website. Look for it there! www.celiac.org  You may also download and print a copy of the flyer.

Max will present his project, as well as the rest of the requirements to the BSA Eagle Board of Review on Wednesday, May 5th...to receive the rank of EAGLE SCOUT!

Max was asked to be  the Keynote Speaker for the Teen Event at the GIG's National Convention in Seattle, WA

Some of the teens after the pizza party!   Pamela's Products provided goodie bags/t-shirts!

Max was also asked to share his message to all attendees at the Dinner Banquet. Max spoke after Dr. Greene to a crowd of almost 400 people. Max is happy to share his story from malnutrition from Celiac Disease to good health and  a positive attitude!

April 2009

NH Governor, John Lynch  gave Max a Proclamation declaring:

MAY-New Hampshire Celiac Disease Awareness Month.

Flyers were posted in Grocery Stores, Doctors Offices, Schools and more in the month of May to help raise awareness and save lives! Many companies and organizations in the state of NH will be helping with this effort.

Here are some of our goals:

*We would like to introduce our club idea to all elementary school aged kids.

*We would like to help raise awareness of food-restricted diets, not just Celiac Disease.

*Help other children and adults understand that “FUN” doesn’t always need to involve food.

*Help others develop a strong positive ATTITUDE about their restrictive diets.
